Governance:
How END RHD WA is guided during Part A of the program
The END RHD WA program governance structure features the Partnership Executive, The Aboriginal Strategic Leadership, Impact and Governance (ASLIG) Committee and the Operational Management Team which oversees and provides leadership, support and guidance to four Translation Subcommittees and four cross-cutting Advisory Groups.
The Aboriginal Strategic Leadership, Impact and Governance (ASLIG) Committee oversees the decisions and progress made throughout END RHD WA and is co-led by Aboriginal representatives from each of the three organisations in the partnership. Both the Translation Subcommittees and Advisory Groups report to the ASLIG Committee to ensure Aboriginal leadership is across all aspects of the END RHD WA Action Plan development.
The Translation Subcommittees represent the priority areas identified by END RHD WA, aligned with the WA Rheumatic Heart Disease Strategic Framework 2026–2036. The four pillars the Translation Subcommittees work under are; Community-Based Programs, Healthy Environments, Early Prevention and Care & Support – with each Chaired/Co-Chaired by experts in the area, including at least one Aboriginal Chair/Co-Chair. The Translation Committees provide technical advice and expertise on how, when and with who the consultation and co-design take place. The Translation Committees communicate and collaborate with the cross-cutting Advisory Groups, reporting to the ASLIG Committee.
